I felt in love with Gustafson’s fashion illustrations, as they are so subtle and yet so expressive due to his watercolour and pastel technique.
His work has been included in many fashion editorial publications such as French and Italian Vogue. He has also created ad campaigns for Hermès, Tiffany & Co, Yohji Yamamoto, and Comme des Garçons. What not to love about his work? xoxo Fabi
"Has watercolour ever been so expressive of bias fabric, or charcoal so allusive to the complexity of the feminine?" Diane Johnson for "DRAWING FASHION, A Century of Fashion Illustration" edited by Joelle Chariau.
The high metallic trend was seen everywhere - from clothing to accessories to home decor. It has influence on the hi-fi trend of the 60's,where the highlight of the era was the Paco Rabanne metallic dress and the Barbarella movie. I like the freshness of this trend as you can paired down a mirror metallic oxford with a white tee and a pair of washed jeans and voila, you have a great new look!
Watch it for high metallic oxfords, in pointy toes or almond shape toes. All accessories are a great vessel for the trend, so my suggestion is to invest in a pair of oxfords and maybe a belt, sunglass or a bag, just be careful not to use all at once as it can be too much metallic in one look. xoxo FabiOi Bloguetes!

HOT HOT HOT STUFF!!!! In December we will be able to meet Balmain's little sister, PIERRE BALMAIN. The French label decided to create the more affordable line, so more people will be able to wear and afford it! Just so you have an idea, the price will vary anywhere between $170.00 to $1.000.00. The rock style, tight pants and marked shoulders will still be there but in a more casual way and with fewer details. See below the looks of the new line. As soon as I find out the stores that will be selling it, I will let you know, don't worry!!! I hope you love it as much as I do. BEIJOS PaulaIrmãzinha

There is no much to say about this look except the fact that we loved this tiny-mini-winnie-yellow skirt. Paula and I decided that we will not be labelling every piece of the outfit as we believe you are a trendy girl that can mix & match hi & lo brands to create the same look at affordable prices. xoxo Fabi

As we all know, summer is almost over (my new obsession) and I guess a good footwear for the fall/winter transition are the ballerinas. I love these cute ballet flats I've seen at Anthropologie, as they mix trendy colours - yellow, green, grey & navy - with quirky ornaments to get this super nice look. At Anthropologie.com for $118.
Another combo I've fallen in love with is hot hues+animal print. Seen at Zara. Must have it!
Amei!

Adele published on her blog that "Amy paved the way for artists like me" before insisting that Amy Winehouse never "realised just how brilliant she was". Amy is now gone and I guess Adele is here to stay. Enjoy!
Rolling in the Deep by Adele.

Hello All!! Today I am going to talk about something everybody is been talking for a while now : COLOUR BLOCKING, but with some tips that will make life much easier
We are going to use the good old COLOUR CIRCLE to help us create a look that works without crashing the colours and is sooooo simple.
When you are going to choose your outfit colours, try to use the colours that are opposite to each other in the circle, see below.
See, the circle really helps and also will save you some time when you are getting ready to create your look.
Don't be shy and go ahead with the colours before its too late and everybody tired about this trend. ARRASE!!!!!! Beijos Paula
Ola!!!
Beijos Paula

I don't think I am ready to comment on the Fall 2011 collections yet due to the extreme heat here in Toronto, however since I came across the amazing J.Crew F11 look book I had to share here my fave outfits with you. I love the mix of bright colours with neutrals and animal print!!!!! Best yet, J.Crew is opening their first store in Toronto next August. huhuuAt www.jcrew.com
Huhuu, mal posso esperar!!!

"The wasting of Winehouse" was the title of the article posted by Ben Rayneris for the Toronto Star, Sunday July 24th and it summarizes the short and in many ways dramatic path of Amy Winehouse, a talented singer that created a new style of music combining blues, jazz & R&B. Now, as we know, the music industry will leverage to sell CDs and make money out of her passing so before you listen anywhere else, I would like to share here some songs of her album "Frank" that was only released in Europe and it is yet another great piece of her work.
"What is It About Men" Frank CD
The Frank CD...http://youtu.be/K31MwoMi4U4

It is a great marketing strategy to bring your brand name into the interior decor, the "Spoon & Fork" restaurant, transformed flatware into a lighting fixture. After running some errands downtown today I came to realize that cutlery is indeed a small trend happening in home accessories. Anthropology, for example, carries measuring spoons and cutlery napkin holder. The trend does suits the restaurant concept. www.spoonandfork.ca and www.anthropologie.com

The spring Summer Collection lend itself to the brights, however be aware that the bold colours are not going away anytime soon. The highlight colours of the summer was yellow, orange, red, cobalt blue and green. For Autumm/Winter 2012 Zara is already showing as many bold colours as seen in the summer, however the highlight of the runways are the orange and the green (70's green-khakis, forest, pine and bottle green). Zara also shown in the small interim collection on the floor now, magenta, cobalt blue, navy, etc.
It's the 80's "dejavu" so be bold and get going on your brights....
August 2012 issue for both orange & green articles
Both looks can share same accessories. LOVE IT!

I was impressed with the amount of cute little stores I found at Parkdale (Queen Street West) this week.
The first store I went into is called "The future of Frances Watson”, the name is corky yet catchy and the store layout and environment can be described by the same adjectives. I was expecting a vintage store, however the store carries men & women's brand new clothing assortment by many local and American designers.
Most of the women collection is made on a studio on the back of the store. The clothing variety is great, however, as you might know by now, my weakness is accessories so that’s what I want to emphasize here. From stunning leather bags, to colourful head turbans (l.o.v.e), a great assortment of necklaces (l.o.v.e), fringe earrings and floral stockings (l.o.v.e) the accessories definitely got my attention. The jewelry collection was designed by the Canadian designer Ashley Ling for Fisher Street. www.fisherstreet.com and my favorite pieces are still the Autumn Winter 2010 collection of 2010 displayed at the store now. Kudos for the store’s buyer for also bringing the denim Canadian brand called “Naked & Famous” for Men. What is cool about the brand is that it uses only the most unique and rare denim fabrics from Japan. The design and cut is amazing and some of the jeans have the interior brushed for extra comfort. Love it!!!! http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/
It's called cashemer street jeans. What not to love about it?
Spotted trends: head turbans, fringe earrings, floral stockings, bright colours, boxy-cut sleeveless tops, cognac leather bags.

paper from old magazines into a stylish beaded clutch. One of the few recycled pieces that I could actually wear it.
